Strategic Objective and Outcome

In order to contribute to address the above problems, the following are Advocacy Strategic goal and outcomes:

Strategic Objective:

DPA’s target communities, especially women, youth and IPs benefit from managed and protected natural resources equitably and sustainably.

Outcomes:

Outcome 1: Rights and ownership

Resource dependent communities especially women and indigenous communities in DPA target areas are empowered to claim their rights of access to natural resources, protect their IP culture, and advocate for improved social and environmental responsibility

Outcome 2: Accountability

DPA target communities, especially representatives of IPs and women, hold the government accountable for natural resource management justice and incorporation of their issues and needs into NRM policy development and ensuring compliance, including from private sector

Outcome 3: Inclusive NRM legislation

Cambodian government and private sectors improved and enforced policies and regulations incorporating internationally recognized standards such as FPIC, CSR and Business, Human Rights Principles
