On 14 September 2022, Mr. Mam Sambath, Executive Director of Development and Partnership in Action (DPA) participated in the 9th Extractive Industry Governance Forum (EIGF) at Hyatt Regency, Phnom Penh. The 9th EIGF comprised approximately 100 participants from miners, regulators and the affected community. The forum was hosted by MME and co-organized by Renaissance Minerals (Cambodia) Ltd., and OXFAM to promote good governance in the mining industry.

In the forum H.E Meng Saktheara, Secretary of State of Ministry of Mine and Energy, said EIGF was a great forum to provide an opportunity to relevant stakeholders especially the affected community to provide constructive feedback on responsible mining to the relevant stakeholder for mining benefit for everyone. He added that the founder of EIGF derived from MME, mining companies, and CSOs including DPA.
