Development and Partnership in Action (DPA) collaborated with Dan Church Aid (DCA) to organize training on “Optimizing Curcurbits’ Agroecological Crop Protection and Productivity” to ALiSEA members and DCA’s partners. The first day of the training focused on theoretical perspectives in class which covered introduction to the principles of Agroecological Crop Protection and bee pollination and meliponiculture for improved productivity and crop health including characteristics and management of fruit flies. The second day took farmers to see farming practices and pollination at the field, identification of stingless bee species pollinating crops on visited farms and learning about how to build and use an augmentorium and parapheromones.
