From 16th to 26th November 2023, with the support of CORD, the DPA-EMPOWER Project Team distributed the second HS&E, as well as picture books on women in the environmental sector, to community environmental managed groups (CMEGs) from 25 communities. This distribution was made to 120 Women Environmental Defenders (WEDs) and Male Human Rights Defenders (MHRDs) (F: 97, M: 23) in Kratie, Mondulkiri, Ratanakiri, and Stung Treng provinces.

The purpose of this distribution was to address the short-term financial and resource pressures faced by Women Environmental Defenders (WEDs) and Male Human Rights Defenders (MHRDs) in relation to their forest patrolling and community awareness-raising activities.
