From 19 August 2024 untill now, DPA staffs and Internal Inspector of 5 Agricultural Cooperatives(ACs) conducted the first internal audit of 2024 to monitor and evaluate compliance with organic production standards on Rice farmland registered in the Identification System of the rice organic cultivation mapping in Kaoh Nheaek distric, Mondulkiri Province which is about 2,594 hectares, of which about 855 families are involved.
To ensure that the practice and record in the organic production record of the participating farmers is accurate, an internal audit is conducted twice a year before proceeding with the assessment of External auditors. The first internal audit in 2024 examines the key points of compliance with organic standards of rice production, including the use of banned substances in or around the field, and the implementation of preventive measures. The flow of chemicals, pests, wastes, pesticides, etc., which is an important factor in determining the accuracy and accuracy of the information of the farm entered into the system and the actual practice of farmers who actually complied by organic standards.
Internal Inspector of organic rice production is an important task that not only gives consumers confidence, but also provides long-term benefits to the farmers themselves, as the farmers will be aware of the deficient practices at the level of Basic for improvement and strengthening with technical support from DPA’s team.
