The DPA organization received three Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports in the last quarter of November and December 2024. These reports included one on an iron exploration company and two on gold mining exploitation companies in RTK and KPT provinces. They were provided by the EIA department of the Ministry of Environment (MoE) for input through participation in inter-ministerial meetings aimed at verifying and creating space for comments/inputs on the EIA reports. Accordingly, the DPA-SABRE team actively gathered specific inputs from directly and indirectly affected communities and local authorities around the company operations areas. These inputs were developed to focus on public participation and the social and environmental concerns raised by the communities and local authorities.
