To strengthen the impact of our work and meet the expectations of our generous donors, the ICRC project management team rolled out an intensive week-long training sessions from 7-11th April, at the DPA office in Ratanakiri Province.
What made it even more exciting? It wasn’t just for the ICRC team! We welcomed enthusiastic participants from across other DPA projects including JIA, SCIAF, HOT, SSRCC, CREFA, and D&P, making it a real collaborative learning experience!
A total of 41 passionate participants joined the training, 21 in person and 20 online, coming from Kompong Thom, Preah Vihear, Mondulkiri, Ratanakiri and Stung Treng provinces. Among them were 2 Provincial Project Managers (PPMs), 8 Assistant Provincial Project Managers (APPMs), and 31 dedicated Community Development Facilitators (CDFs), all working together to strengthen their skills and make a greater impact in their communities.

1. Agroecology & Regenerative Agriculture: Exploring nature-based solutions and farming methods that work with ecosystems, not against them.
2. Climate-Smart Agriculture: Learning how to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change through resilient, low-emission farming practices.
3. Agricultural Cooperative Development: Equipping communities with the tools to form and manage cooperatives that strengthen bargaining power and access to markets.
4. Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan: Covers risk assessment, early warning systems, response coordination, evacuation planning, and communication strategies to ensure safety and minimize impact on vulnerable communities.
By building the capacity of our teams, we’re ensuring more impactful, inclusive, and resilient project outcomes that truly benefit the most vulnerable households.
