DPA, who is ALiSEA National Secretariate in Cambodia, organized the agroecology training on topic “Using Cover Cropped in rice production” in Ro Vieng district, Preah Vihear province on 08th November 2024. This training aimed to equip members and farmers with theorical knowledge on agroecological principles and practical application in using cover cropped in rice production. There were 31 participants including 14 females.

This session was trained by Mr. SRY Rama who is field coordinator of ASSET project.

Trainer showed the experiment of germination of cover crop seed by using the hot water.

All trainees did the practical application of broadcasting cover crop seeds in the designated rice field by  blending two types of cover cropped seeds, such as ochroleuca and stylo.

Trainees checked the root of the cover crop.
