Poor farmers increased their food and earned additional income from raising chickens

From March to October 2023, DPA ICD Preah Vihear Province supported material for chicken cage construction (Included: 999 sheets of zinc, 92 boxes of nails, and 92 Kg of zinc nails) and 1,190 4 weeks vaccinated chicks to 111 vulnerable families in 17 villages, 7 communes (Mlou Prey 1, Sangke 2, Sangke 1, Chhaeb 1, Chrach and Thmea) in Chhaeb and Chey Sen districts, Preah Vihear province. The all-trained farmers received the materials to construct chicken cages and they were happy to contribute wooden, labours to construct their chicken cages and raise chicken and take care of their chickens. The real example, In this year, Mrs Chhatt Iy living in Mlou Prey Village, Mlou Prey 1 commune, Chhaeb district, Preavihear Province received a total income of 421 USD from the chicken sale.
