On Monday, July 28, 2025, the DPA Ratanakiri Provincial Community Development Program of the JIA project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through Johanniter, organized the “Tree Planting Day” ceremony at Muern Thang Primary School in Muern Thang Village, Tuern Commune, Kon Mom District, Ratanakiri Province. The event was presided over by the Director of the Forestry Administration of the Ratanakiri Provincial Department of Agriculture, the Governor of Kon Mom District, local authorities, members of the Community Forestry Committee, teachers, and 101 students (33 women). A total of 1,050 saplings were planted during the tree planting day program, and an additional 1,442 saplings were planted on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, bringing the total number of saplings planted to 2,494 at the school and community forest reserves in La Insre Village and Meun Thang 2 Village, Tern Commune, Kon Mom District, Ratanakiri Province.
