***Chikreng District, Siem Reap Province***
From December 21-24, 2024, the Integrated Community Development Project (ICDP) team of the Integrated Community Development Program of Development and Partnership in Action (DPA) organized and facilitated the distribution of chicks, feed, and materials to a total of 162 vulnerable families in 12 villages across three communes in Chikreng District. Each family received 21 vaccinated chicks, 18.50 kgs of feed, a feed bowl, a water bowl, a hoe, and a pair of vegetable shower tanks. In total, 3,402 chicks, 3,000 kgs of feed, 162 feed bowls, 162 water bowls, 162 hoes, and 162 pairs of vegetable shower tanks were distributed. The main objective of supporting vulnerable households is to enhance food security for these families, which include people living with disabilities, vulnerable female-headed households, and the poorest households. The support will also include capacity building on chicken and vegetable farming, providing necessary tools to the families, and offering close coaching support to reduce vulnerability.
