Contributing to achieve the Desired Outcomes, ICDP has been carrying out 17 Strategic Actions, as listed below:

# 1.1.1.1: Develop the capacity of natural resource dependent communities, especially women, youth and IPs, to confidently engage in collective planning and decision making for access to, management and conservation of natural resources.
# 1.1.2.1: Facilitate collaboration between relevant stakeholders towards legal recognition of community managed natural resources (Community Forestry [CF], Community Fisheries [CFi], Communal Land Titling [CLT] and Community Protected Area [CPA]) and IP cultures.
# 1.1.2.2: Partner with and support capacity and inputs to NRM committees and members, to engage government and private sector in sustainable management of natural resources through CF, CFi and CPA projects.
# 2.1.1.1: Develop and strengthen the capacity of formal (Agricultural Cooperatives) and informal groups especially women, youth and IPs to increase and improve their groups’ leadership, governance, management, role and responsibility and financial management.
# 2.1.2.2: Support formal and informal groups to engage and negotiate actively in relevant meetings organised by government and private sectors related to development and enforcement of policies (including contract farming) that respond to the needs of small-holder farmers.
# 2.2.1.1: Strengthen the capacity of formal and informal groups on business development, individual and group production planning to effectively generate income.
# 2.2.1.2: Support innovative income generation activities (vocational and new production skills/techniques) of natural resource‐dependent IP and small fishing communities for increasing additional incomes and food security.
# 2.2.2.1: Develop the capacity of DPA target formal and informal groups to increase their ability to mobilise internal and external financial resources to run small and medium social businesses.
# 2.2.3.1: Support formal and informal groups to practice market-oriented production and added value in accordance with standards such as GAP, PGS and Organic standards, SRP, food safety, post-harvest management and processing).
# 2.2.3.2: Promote increased access to necessary production inputs and infrastructures, service facilities, market information and access through contract farming, collective input purchasing and innovative market developments (e.g., E-marketing).
# 2.2.3.3: Develop the capacity of target formal and informal groups to produce their own inputs (including compost, local seeds, botanical pesticides and bio-fertilizers. Promote farmer to farmer learning and facilitate agro-ecological practices (soil conservation, crop protection and agro-forestry).
# 2.2.3.4: Support financial and material inputs to AC and PG representatives to participate in relevant market networks to enhance their collective marketing strength.
# 2.2.3.5: Support formal groups to negotiate with private sectors on price and quality of products and sign formal contract with responsible buyers.
# 2.3.1.1: Provide capacity building and inputs to formal and informal groups on climate-resilient production techniques (for crops, livestock and aquaculture), water resource management and agroforestry.
# 2.3.2.1: Develop and increase the capacity of, and support to, disaster-prone communities and returnee migrant workers in climate smart innovations, as well as techniques to adapt to the impact of COVID-19 in order to prevent poverty backsliding and ensure their food and income security.
# 2.3.3.1: Develop and strengthen the capacity of DPA-supported Village Disaster Management Teams, Commune and District Committees for Disaster Management and support them to facilitate and carry out the disaster preparedness, response and recovery strategies.
# 2.3.3.2: Partner with and support Disaster Management Committees to engage in dialogue and cooperation among and between relevant climate change networks and stakeholders in communities working towards being more adaptive and resilient.
