On 26 May 2025, as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance community disaster risk reduction strategies, the DPA-ICRC project team in Stung Treng province, together with the Village Disaster Management Group (VDMG) and the Commune Committee for Disaster Management (CCDM) conducted a site assessment for the installation of a Water Level Poles and an Information Board. Following thorough discussions and consultations with community members, the project team selected 2 sites for installations:
•1st installation site is in Krom Village, Preah Romkel Commune, Borei O’Svay Sen Chey District, Stung Treng province (in front of Domrey Sor Pagoda).
•2nd site is in Kompon Village, Kompon Commune, Sesan District, Stung Treng province (in front of the District Hall).
The installation received strong support from local authorities, with the district chief personally participating in both the assessment and the setup. This marks a significant step forward for the ICRC project in building flood preparedness and ensuring community safety through timely and accessible information.
