On March 4, 2025, the DPA team in Preah Vihear Province collaborated with the officers of the Office Social Affairs, Women and Children Welfare of Kulen District to organize the International Women Day, 8 March 2025, with the 114th anniversary. The event was held under the chairmanship of:
1/ Ms. Phon Keophon, Deputy Director of Department of Women’s Affairs of Preah Vihear Province
2/ Mr. Chum Chhavy, Chairman of Kulen District Council
3/ Mr. Pen Jeung, Governor of the Kulen District Council
Included Ladies and gentlemen, district councilors, health centers, local police, commune councilors, village chief, and community gender focal point from all villages, a total 61 participant (included 44 women).
On March 6, 2025, the DPA team in Preah Vihear Province collaborated with the officers of the Office Social Affairs, Women and Children Welfare of Chey Sen District to organize the International Women Day, 8 March 2025, with the 114th anniversary. The event was held under the chairmanship of:
1-Ms. Phon Keophon, Deputy Director of the Department of Women’s Affairs, Preah Vihear Province
2-Mr. Vann Sok, Chairman of Chey Sen District Council
3/Mr. Yuk Samphoung, Governor of Chey Sen District Council
Included Ladies and gentlemen, district councilors, health centers, local police, commune councilors, village chief, and community gender focal point from all villages, a total 115 participant (included 85 women). Under the theme of “Rights, Equity and Empowerment for All Women and Girls”, the program aims to highlight the importance of achieving and implementing rights in promoting equality, equity and strengthening the empowerment of all women and girls in Cambodia. The theme of the Women Day, also focuses on promoting the positive outcomes, benefits of the gender dividend for families, strengthening communities and social development, promoting economic growth and social well-being, with a reflection on progress, achievements, challenges, opportunities, and especially showing commitment and positive measures to promote gender equality and increase the empowerment of all women and girls.
