Workshop on Anticipatory Action (AA) for Climate Resilience

On February 12th, 2025, Mr. Sam Quinn, the Climate Change Specialist from Caritas Australia led an insightful workshop on Anticipatory Action (AA) at DPA Stung Treng Office. This session aimed to integrate AA into Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) activities under the ICRC project. With 30 in-person participants and 19 joining online from CA, CEPA, and DPA’s ICRC staff in Stung Treng and Ratanakiri province.

This workshop covered:

• Introduction to Anticipatory Action

• Steps to developing an AA system

• Establishing trigger thresholds

• Benefits of early action before disasters

• Group activities to apply AA in the local context
