The overall purpose of this training is to build the capacity of EISEI network and secretariat to equip with knowledge and skill in conducting research and document of the exiting or emerging issue for evidence –based advocacy. During opened remark, Mr.Mam Sambath, Executive Director from Development and Partnership in Action and the Chairman of steering committee member of Extractive Industry Social and environment impact (EISEI) noticed that it is the urgent need to have this course which has been often discussed among the committee for years. Three main reasons that required the members have the capacity in documenting the case study; (1) The habit to talk without any documents is not the effective way for the advocacy work, (2) The real issue or events happen but lack of documentation by the members that mostly become the questions from the relevant audients. It is much supports to government to work stronger if having the documents, (3). Not having document seems support the ones to hide this false and continue to make the mistake again and again.
