On August 20, 2026, Development and Partnership in Action (DPA) supported the district-level Women Champions Network Meeting on Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management at Sesan District Hall, Stung Treng Province. This meeting served as an important platform for women champions to share experiences and enhance leadership capacities to respond to climate change and disaster issues.

Women play a crucial and indispensable role in disaster management and response, as they have direct experience in caring for families and communities.

However, women often face challenges such as the risk of gender-based violence at evacuation sites, lack of personal hygiene facilities, and limited voice in decision-making.
