To contribute to the restoration and enhancement of forest cover, while strengthening the sustainable management and conservation of natural resources, Development and Partnership in Action (DPA) organized Tree Planting Days in two community forests in Preah Vihear Province.
On 12 and 13 August 2026, tree planting activities were conducted at Phnom Preah Inthrong Community Forest in Meun Reach Village, Khyang Commune, Chey Sen District, and Prey Pormaekboun Community Forest in Phyue Chrouk Village, Kuleaen Cheung Commune, Kuleaen District.
The activities were conducted under the Climate Resilient for All (CREFA) Project, supported by the Government of Ireland through Oxfam Cambodia.
The activities brought together local authorities, relevant technical officials, students, community forestry committee members, and community members, with a total of 142 participants, including 52 women.
Each community forest planted 1,000 tree seedlings, resulting in a total of 2,000 tree seedlings planted. These efforts contribute to forest restoration, increased forest cover, biodiversity conservation, and the protection of natural resources for present and future generations.
