Deputy Governor in Stung Treng Provincial and stakeholder Jointly Plant 2,500 tree seedling to Celebrate “Tree planting Day (July 9)” in Sesan District
A tree-planting ceremony celebrating National Tree Planting Day (July 9) was held in Katot village, Kampun commune, Sesan district, Stung Treng province, on the morning of July 20, 2026, where a total of 2,500 mixed saplings were planted.
The event was presided over by Her Excellency Long Phirom, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Tourism and Head of the Royal Government Working Group for Sesan District, alongside Mr. Srun Samrithy, Deputy Governor of Stung Treng Province, representing His Excellency Sor Soputra, Governor of Stung Treng Province. The program was co-organized by the Sesan District Administration, the Provincial Department of Environment, and the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, in collaboration with Development Partnership in Action (DPA), with a total of 239 participants.
This tree-planting campaign aimed to raise public awareness and encourage active participation among community members, students, and the public in natural resource conservation through hands-on planting. Additionally, the event served to foster environmental stewardship and strengthen collaborative support for building a clean, green environment for the future.
