The Development and Partnership in Action (DPA) organized a field visit to Renaissance Minerals Gold Mine, which is an Australia’s largest investment in Cambodia. The field visit was facilitated by Mr. Sven Sewell, Environment and Community Superintendent.
This field visit was a crucial learning opportunity and discussion on the ESG achievements and practical implementation of ESG in company site and surrounding communities.
As a result, the company has provided opportunities, and significant employment conditions for local communities in the area.
Last but not least, the field visit was attended by representatives from the European Union (EU), donor partners (CORD UK and CORD Cambodia), and partner organizations including Oxfam, NGOF, and ANSA.
This visit offered a valuable chance to learn from ESG practices and promote sustainable development in Cambodia’s mining sector.
