
The SABRE Project of Development and Partnership in Action organized a workshop on the piloting of the Responsible Business Practices (RBP) Model with Angkor Gold in Ratanakiri Province on 30 July 2026. The workshop was honored by the participation of Mr. Michael Weeks, CEO of Angkor Gold, along with representatives of local communities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). A total of 14 participants (including 5 women) attended the workshop in Banlung City, Ratanakiri Province. As a result of the workshop, Angkor Gold committed to implementing two priority elements of the model: (1) Stakeholder Engagement (Consultation and Communication) and (2) Feedback and Grievance Management.

Objectives of the workshop:
– To introduce the Responsible Business Practices (RBP) Model and its key components to Angkor Gold and other participants.
– To discuss the practical implementation of the Responsible Business Practices (RBP) Model and identify the elements that are most suitable for the company’s operational context.
