Network Meeting of Community Protected Area of the Eastern Mekong River under the theme “Together, implementing green practices to move towards carbon-neutral communities”
On August 02, 2026, the DPA organization’s representatives participated in and supported communities in protected areas from Stung Treng and Kratie provinces to attend Network Meeting of Community Protected Area of the Eastern Mekong River under the theme “Together, implementing green practices to move towards carbon-neutral communities”, organized by the Director General of the General Department of Local Communities of the Ministry of Environment at the Mondulkiri Provincial Department of Environment, under the chairmanship of H.E. Seng Saot, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Local Communities and Permanent Vice-Chair of the National Network Committee, with participation from the Departments of Environment, Community Committees of protected areas from Kratie, Stung Treng, Ratanakiri and Mondulkiri provinces, and partner organizations that are implementing activities in natural resource conservation, with a total of 64 participants (14 women). The meeting was held with the objective of promoting participation in the implementation of the Environmental Circular Strategy 2023-2028 and sharing experiences and various livelihood options to improve the livelihoods of local communities and continue partnership cooperation with the private sector to promote community products.
